Upcoming Events
Title: Spirituality, Sexuality, and Sexual Violence: Pathways for Healing
Date/time: Saturday October 17, 3-4:30pm
Location: Zoom (link will be sent to participants closer to the event)
Spirituality and sexuality are inextricably linked, yet these interconnections are often overlooked. On Saturday October 17 from 3-4:30pm, join SACOMSS and MORSL for an interactive session on “Spirituality, Sexuality, and Sexual Violence: Pathways for Healing.” We’ll explore the interactions between faith and sexuality, while considering the diverse impacts of sexual assault on spirituality. We’ll also discuss the potential role of faith in a survivor’s healing process. Open to all McGill students, but please register here for the Zoom link. For more info check out our Facebook event.
Special Projects
Every year, SACOMSS organizes a December 6 Polytechnique Memorial, during which we remember the 14 women killed in the Ecole Polytechnique Massacre of December 6, 1989
SACOMSS also organizes a Sexual Assault Awareness Week, which includes our Fire with Water benefit art show and workshops on reclaiming sex based on respect, supporting survivors, and strategizing to make our communities (and sex lives!) safer and sexier for everyone.
